Studio Saama’s inaugural release, Collection No.1, is a poetic conversation between material and memory. Crafted between the hands of Indonesian artisans and the creative direction of our studio, this debut collection celebrates the duality of form and feeling through two elemental materials: concrete and clay.
The concrete series speaks to permanence and architectural rhythm—sculptural vessels and objets d’art with weight, presence, and meditative simplicity. Drawing inspiration from Grecian silhouettes and modernist curves, each piece is cast to hold space—indoors or out—with quiet strength.
The clay series, by contrast, leans into earthiness and tactility. Hand-formed, irregular, and soulful, these pieces echo the warmth of the maker’s touch. They embody tradition and transformation, bridging contemporary design with ancient craft.
Together, this collection lays the foundation of Studio Saama’s vision in collaboration with creative director, stylist and curator Emma Elizabeth who brings her multi-displinary approach of : cross-cultural design that honours heritage, gives scale to our spaces, embraces imperfection, and brings art into our everyday lives.
